Therapy Approach:
I use an eclectic approach to working with my clients, borrowing tools from different therapeutic models to make it as personalized as possible. Since people often enter the therapeutic process having multiple concerns, having tailor-made interventions helps them work through them more efficiently. Working with different developmental levels, especially with young adults I incline more towards using narrative techniques and a person-centered approach as it helps the client feel empowered and use their internal processes to engage in a healthy dialogue and achieve their goals for therapy.
Working with younger clients often involves family therapy, parental counseling, inner child work, and solution-focused approaches making sure that the young child’s confidentiality is not compromised entirely.
